Karmapa-Voice of young Tibetan


Gyalwang Karmapa, the young monk of Kargyu sect of Tibetan Buddhism is slowly emerging as hope for younger generation of exile Tibetans. Third in hierarchy after Dalai Lama and Panchen Lama, many Tibetan see him as their future leader after Dalai Lama.

Jammu and Kashmir to revive Buddhist sites


Tourism department of Jammu and Kashmir government has decided to revive some of the ruined Buddhist sites of state. In this regard, they have already sent a plan to Archaeological survey of India and have identified some spot for this project. The development of these place may lead to more tourist inflow into the state.

Buddhist Pilgrimage through the Himalayas



Buddhist monks from all over India lead by His holiness 12th Gyalwang Drukpa Rinpoche completed an strenuous 240 mile journey through mountain passes of Himalaya. This journey which started from Manali in Himachal Pradesh concluded at Ladakh in Jammu and Kashmir.
